FRIDAY 26 MARCH


1845 hrs         Assemble at LONDON HEATHROW AIRPORT, Terminal 3.

1900 hrs         Latest check in time to your Virgin Atlantic scheduled flight VS300.

2200 hrs         Flight departs to DELHI.

                        Overnight in flight.


SATURDAY 27 MARCH

1145 hrs         Arrive Delhi Airport and clear Indian Immigration and Passport Control, collect your luggage and pass through Customs. You will be met by a local representative and shown to your coach for transfer to your hotel in New Delhi where you will stay for four nights on a full board basis.

                        Delhi is the capital of modern India and has centuries of history. In New Delhi you will find wide tree-lined avenues and boulevards, and green spaces.

1500 hrs         Meet this afternoon for a guided tour of OLD DELHI which will take you to the Raj Ghat (memorial to Mahatma Gandhi), Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India. Drive past Chandi Chowk, once an imperial avenue of Mughal Royalty which today is the busiest commercial area of the city. Walk through Chandni Chowk to savour the ambience of an oriental bazaar.

1800 hrs         Arrive back at the hotel for dinner.





SUNDAY 28 MARCH

                        Breakfast.

0900 hrs         This morning you will meet your guide for a tour of NEW DELHI.

                        The new capital was designed by Sir Edward Lutyens. Drive past the Presidential Palace, the Parliament and the secretariat buildings - the centre of all government activity and down the main avenue, the impressive Rajpath to the World War I memorial arch, the India Gate, the High Court Building and the Old Fort. Visit Humayun’s Tomb built in 1565 by his grieving widow Haji Begum, the Qutub Minar, 72 metres high and the ruins of Quwat-ul-Eslam (Light of Islam) Mosque. See Delhi’s most curious antique, the uncorroded Iron Pillar, which dates back to the 4th Century. Visit the Birla (Laxmi Narayan) Temple, with its many idols.

1300 hrs         Lunch at a Host.

Return to your hotel for a relaxing afternoon and evening.

                        Dinner.


MONDAY 29 MARCH

                        Breakfast

0830 hrs         Transfer late morning to meet your first opponents:

0900 hrs         RP ACADEMY v MILL HILL SCHOOL

                        There will be lunch provided.

                        Socialise together after the game and return to your hotel.

                        Dinner.

 


TUESDAY 30 MARCH

                        Breakfast.

0830 hrs         You would have time for a swim this morning before transferring to play your next tour match.

0900 hrs         DPS RK PURAM v MILL HILL SCHOOL

                        There will be lunch provided.

                        Socialise together and enjoy your last evening in Delhi.

                        Dinner.


WEDNESDAY 31 MARCH

                        Check out of your hotel and transfer to the station for an early train to AGRA.

0615 hrs         Shatabdi Express Train to AGRA.

0750 hrs         Arrive Agra and transfer to Clarks Shiraz Hotel where you will be based for two nights on a full board basis.

1430 hrs         Afternoon SIGHTSEEING TOUR of the city, visiting the world famous Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in 1560 in memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. This architectural marvel is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece fashioned from white marble that stands testimony to the skill of 20,000 craftsmen brought together from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy and who took 17 year to complete this ' Love Poem in Marble' (Friday closed). Later visit the Agra Fort. In Fort visit Diwan-E-Am (House of Commons), mosques within the Fort and royal pavilions like Macchi Bhavan, Shah Jahani Mahal and others. Several of the buildings are made of pure marble with beautiful carvings. To cool off the rooms, the walls were hollow and filled with running water. The balconies of these pavilions give clear view of Taj Mahal and Yamuna Rivers flowing next to it.

1800 hrs         Arrive back at the hotel in time for dinner.

                        Lunch will be provided.

                        Enjoy some time with your hosts and return to your hotel for dinner.













FRIDAY 02 APRIL

                        Breakfast.

0900 hrs         Check out this morning and board your coach for the drive west to BHARATPUR (a drive of 1 hr 15 mins – 55 kms) where you will check in to the Udaivilas Hotel for one night on a half board basis.

                        In the afternoon you will visit the KEOLADEO GHANA BIRD SANCTUARY in Bharatpur by cycle rickshaw.

                        Bharatpur’s 29 sq km piece of marshland is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world, with over 360 species. It used to form the hunting estate of the Maharajas of Bharatpur. Among many birds to be seen are egrets, ducks, coots, storks, kingfishers, spoonbills, Sarus cranes and several birds of prey, including laggar falcon, greater spotted eagle, marsh harrier and Pallas’ eagle.


SATURDAY 03 APRIL

0800 hrs         Breakfast.

0900 hrs         Check out this morning and before boarding your coach for the drive west to JAIPUR (approximately 4½ hrs – 176 kms) where you will check in to the Golden Tulip Hotel for a four night stay on a full board basis.

                        Jaipur is known as the ‘Pink City’, due to the painted stone buildings. It is a lively and bustling place founded in 1727.

                        After settling in, meet your guide for a CITY TOUR, visiting Maharaja's City Palace, the former Royal residence, part of it converted into a museum. A small portion is still used by the Royal family of Jaipur. Built in the style of a fortified campus, the palace covers almost one-seventh in area of the city. One of the major attractions in the museum is the portion known as Armoury Museum housing an impressive array of weaponry-pistols, blunderbusses, flintlocks, swords, rifles and daggers. The royal families of Jaipur once used most of these weapons. Later visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. Situated near the gate of the city palace, the observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition.

                        Enjoy dinner together at the hotel.



SUNDAY 04 APRIL

0830 hrs         Relax at your hotel before transferring to play your final match.

0900 hrs         CARWELL CRICKET ACADEMY v MILL HILL SCHOOL

                        Lunch will be provided.

                        Enjoy some time with your opponents before returning to your hotel for dinner.


MONDAY 05 APRIL

0730 hrs         Morning excursion to the AMBER FORT with an elephant ride. Amber is a classic, romantic Rajasthani Fort Palace. The rugged, time-ravaged walls of the Fort may not look beautiful from the outside, but the interior is a virtual paradise. Miniatures painted on the walls depict hunting and war scenes, apart from festivals. Precious stones and mirrors are embedded into the plaster. Inside the Jag Mandir is the famed Sheesh Mahal - a room with all the four walls and ceiling completely embedded with glittering mirror pieces, which were specially imported from Belgium during that period. En route to the Amber Fort, you will have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal - the Palace of Winds.

                        The fort dates from the early 17th Century and was the ancient state capital. It is surrounded by fortified battlements and overlooks the Moat Lake. You can stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls.

                        Return for dinner at your hotel.


TUESDAY 06 APRIL

                        Your final day on tour to relax or do some last-minute sightseeing or explore the local market.

                        Enjoy your last tour dinner together.
















WEDNESDAY 07 APRIL

tba hrs            Check out of your hotel early and transfer to JAIPUR AIRPORT where you will check in to your Kingfisher flight IT4311 to DELHI.

0630 hrs         Flight departs.

0730 hrs         Arrive Delhi Airport and transfer to your onward flight VS301 to LONDON.

1315 hrs         Flight departs.

1755 hrs         Arrive London Heathrow Airport, Terminal 3, and clear UK Immigration and Passport Control, collect your luggage and pass through Customs. You will then be free to disperse for home (own arrangements for getting to/from Heathrow Airport).
